The little village Göschitz is situated in the valley of the stream "Gülde" that runs into the river "Weida" an ists dam. Additional to the rooms in our restautant you can take a holiday flat in a private house.

 

We arrange trips with horses and carriage into our densely wooded area.

Göschitz is al perfect starting point to go an a hike for example to the dam-walk in Zeulenroda or the Saale-Orla-walkway or to the sights of our region. In the 19th century Göschitz was called the Reuß-Italy becouse of ists picturesque location.

The regional known poet and priest, Julius Sturm, lived here from 1851 to 1857 and showed his love to the place and the people in a song.
